ConQuest Formula

Clicking on the Formula tab produces a window where you can enter the required formula.

Exact or inexact (i.e. ranges or greater then/less than) formula can be entered.

Contraints can be added such as the formula applies to an individual molecule or to all molecules in the crystal structure, and other atoms, other than the ones specified are allowed or not.

Clicking on the Select from Table button produces the periodic table

Click on the desired elements or choose whole rows, columns or sets by clicking on the yellow boxes.

An extra erea at the bottom allows you to choose the atom count, either as an exact number, greater than, less than or a range.

The Query can be stored (by clicking on the Store button) or the search begun by clicking on the Search Button button. The Search Setup box should then appear where filters can be set up before finally searching the database.

View Results - Formula

The results of the search are shown in the main window which should be in the View Results mode and by default shows the 2D structure (Diagram).

The formula of the hit can be seen by clicking on the Chemical tab.

Click on any of the tabs below to see the other windows of available data in the View Results screen.
