ConQuest Help Menu

A large amount of on-line help available in the form of HTML pages along with a set of tutorials.

If the internal CDS browser (Netscape) has not been configured under the Options menu, then the first time Help Index or Tutorials is chosen, a configuration box may appear.

Help Index

The Help Index consists of two windows - the left window contains the searchable index and the right window contains the information.

Contents displays the User Guide
Index displays an alphabetical list of available information.
Search displays a box for inputting a search term.
Favourites allows you to add or remove favourite pages.

Tutorials

There are 10 tutorials available ranging from simple searches to more complex queries.

Clicking on any tutorial causes the internal CDS browser (Netscape) to open and display the information.

Each tutorial page consists of 4 sections:-

Menu Commands Required

About ConQuest

Produces a window containing the version number and Cambridge Crystallographic Data Center contact details.
