The Bionet Screening Databases

Bionet Research (a division of Key Organics Ltd.) has available on a non-exclusive basis a diverse, synthetic organic compound library suitable for HTS.

The database currently contains over 46,000 compounds, typically 90% of the database is available ex-stock (1 mg amount) at any time. They believe that these compounds are unique to Bionet Research and experience has shown very little overlap with other commercially available chemical libraries.

Key Organics have also acquired the compound database of Merlin Synthesis, which contains just over 2,600 compounds and a recent marketing agreement with G&J Chemicals allow them to include their collection of approx 1,600 screening compounds.

The TsarTM programme from Accelyrs has been used to generate ADME data which is present in the database.

All compounds are synthesised in-house and are subject to rigorous quality control. The majority of compounds have a purity of 95% or greater, they should all have a purity of 90% or greater. Resynthesis is carried out continually to replenish stocks.

All available compounds within the Bionet screening database at 250mg or below have a fixed price, dependent only on the sample size ordered.

Those compounds whose list begins with the letter L only have limited stocks available. These are compounds where the reaction yields were poor or reagent costs were high or are no longer available and resynthesis is therefore more difficult. If the stocks of these compounds are exhausted Bionet reserve the right to quote a resynthesis cost for each compound.
