ACD/I-Lab via the Web
To access the web browser interface, first log on then click on the Access Data menu at the left of the top pulldown
menu on all CDS web pages. and choose I-Lab - web access
The first screen you see before entering I-Lab lets you choose how you want to enter a structure.
- Choose Structure Drawing Applet to draw a structure using a popup window
- Choose Structure Viewer if you want to import your structure
(IE users will see a third option. ACD/MolX Control is a commercial product)
Click on Enter I-Lab now
The next screen tells you how to use I-Lab.
Use the drop down menus to choose your search.
1) If you select to SEARCH a database then a form should be seen where extra parameters can be filled in.
If you search by structure you will need to input a structure. Click on

A) If you selected the Structure Viewer option then a window appears allowing you to locate a structure file to load.
B) If you selected the Structure Drawing Applet option then the editor shoulod open.
Draw your structure or load a file then go back to the I-Lab window.
Click on the Start Search button to begin the search.
The result (for a Similar or SubStructure search) is a list of hits.
Click on one of the hits to see the results as a table
2) If you selected a PREDICTOR then the window changes to a page containing a CALCULATE button.
The Load Structure window or structure drawing applet window should also appear automatically.
Enter your query then go back to the I-Lab window and click on the CALCULATE button.
Within seconds you should see an interactive spectrum along with boxes containing the structure and shift tables.
Note that there is a link to download the HSP (or CSP) file so that you can view it in ChemSketch.
