CDS Server Problems since Fri 4th Sept



CDS Server Problems
====================

Following a routine system update on Wed 2nd Sept, the main CDS server
gradually ran out of available memory until Friday evening when this
started causing database accesses to fail e.g. logins (for ConQuest
et al), ICSD, Specinfo and others.

On Sunday more patches were available and these settled things down a
bit but a reboot was still needed to bring a newer Linux Kernel into action.

The reboot was carried out this morning just after 8am and we believe
that a normal service is now available.

Please inform us if you are still experiencing any problems.
