CDS logon

This page uses the MindTerm Java applet to provide secure shell access to the CDS machine.
It uses the ssh protocol, which encrypts the username and password before sending them over the network.
Simply enter your CDS id and password when prompted below and you will be logged on to cds.

Please note that X11 forwarding (X-Windows tunneling) is not supported in our current implementation of MindTerm.

If you try to use an X-Windows application (e.g. ConQuest) it may fail.

To run such programs you will need to be able to handle X-Windows on
your local workstation.

You will also need to have assigned a DISPLAY enviroment variable on
the CDS server. For some sites this will also fail because your local
firewall blocks direct X-Windows traffic. 

In that case contact your local network support group - they may be
pursuaded to allow access from the CDS server. If their security
policy does not allow this, you will need to use X11 forwarding.
